Aquacel (by Convatec) has developed a number of hydrofiber dressings for advanced wound care. The most popular is Aquacel AG+, which is a soft antimicrobial non woven dressing for infected wounds (or wounds at risk of becoming infected). These dressings with proper sizing can form fit to a wound and are absorbent. Aquacel AG contains hydrofiber with ionic silver with antimicrobial properties and is specifically designed to target common wound localized impediments to healing. Aquacel AG has additional products including Aquacel AG Extra, Aquacel AG Foam and Aquacel Surgical.
