Parsons ADL Stocking Aid

It's made to make putting on compression stockings a breeze. Steel construction with a slick plastic finish. Convenient grips make it much easier to draw the stocking up. Simply stretch the stocking over the column, insert your toes, and pull up continuously. Sock Aid make dressing easier by reducing bending and increasing independence. The inside column is 4" wide (10cm).

Nylon webbing straps on a flexible sock assist. The curved form keeps the stocking in place on the aid as you draw it up your leg.

Sock Aid Makes up for a Lack of Range of Motion

A sock helper for seniors, also known as an assistive device or arthritic aid, is a piece of adaptive equipment that allows people to effortlessly put on their socks despite pain and physical restrictions. A sock assist device can help arthritis patients who have trouble bending and reaching their feet put on their socks independently.

A sock puller is essentially a flexible or semi-flexible material (typically plastic) with two long handles attached to it (rope or cord). The top of your sock is held open by slipping it over the flexible section of the stock help. You drop the sock to the floor while holding onto the handles once it has been put onto the flexible section.

You'll be baffled as to how you survived without it. Keep your sock aid in your sock drawer (duh!). However, remember to bring it with you when you know you'll need it, such as when travelling.

Compression therapy is based on the placement of an elastic garment around the leg, which is a simple and effective mechanical basis.

Compression stockings help venous return, reduce venous pressure, prevent venous stasis, reduce edoema and deterioration of venous walls, and effectively relieve aching and heavy legs by assisting the body in moving blood up the leg by compressing the limb with graduated compression — strongest at the ankle and decreasing up the leg.
